The current trial has been ordered by a Home Office Minister, it is a Home Office Minister who will make the final decision based on the results of the trial on if operational deployment of Taser outside of the firearms criteria continues beyond the end of the trial.

MPs are responsible for holding ministers to account in Parliament, and can request a vote, to say simply there is no vote planned is a pretty pathetic response from an MP if they oppose a matter.
